the cosmos: Cosmos is a Latin term that comes from a Greek word that is used to name the set of all created things. The concept can be used to refer to an orderly system, opposing the notion of chaos.

Cosmos The most common use is linked to the universe cosmos (from order) and into outer space to Earth. For example: "My son is fascinated with the cosmos, so I'll give him a telescope to observe the stars from the balcony", "The cosmos is so vast and complex that even know most of its aspects", "When grow up, I wanna be an astronaut and travel the universe aboard a spaceship. "

The study of the universe is called cosmology and covers the structure and history of the universe as a whole. This interdisciplinary science includes concepts of physics, astronomy, religion, philosophy and esotericism.

It is possible to distinguish between different types of cosmologies. Physical cosmology studies the evolution of the universe from the physical, religious cosmology does from religion and philosophical cosmology, from philosophy.

"Cosmos" is also a book written by American Carl Sagan, based on a documentary series he produced and which is entitled "Cosmos: A Personal Journey."

Cosmos is also a genus of herbaceous perennials, the name of a landmark skyscraper in the city of Mar del Plata (Argentina) and the name of a football team that existed from 1971 to 1985 and featured stars like Pele and Franz Beckenbauer.
